Fishing Report Sept 28th 2014

Catfish are absolutely tearing it up! Especially guys who are using stink bait. Docs and Sonny's seem to be working the best in 8 to 12 feet of water. Anchor your boat, fish 6 to 8 rods all around the boat, right on the bottom.

So excited about this time of the year. This is when I start catching the giant crappie off of my brush piles. Minnows and jigs work well. If you would like to go on a guided trip, shoot me an email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Striper season starts Wednesday, October 1st. This is going to be an absolutely wonderful fall and winter for stripers every time I'm on the lake I see them schooling, lots of birds and thrashing fish on top. When they are schooling, I like to throw bucktails and top water baits. Other than that, you can catch them on live bait. Blueback herring from Blacks Camp work the best.

Still a lot of big bream being caught in shallow water on crickets.

Good luck and good fishing!
