Welcome to Blacks Camp -

For a great fishing guide  service, see our guides page - if you don’t want a guide, bring your own boat and we’ll do our best to point you in the right direction! Remember - we’re just five minutes from the Diversion Canal and you have easy access to both lakes.

        Blacks Camp, located on the famous Santee Cooper Lakes, is a full service fishing camp. Offering the finest food and lodging on the lakes, we strive to make your stay a relaxing and memorable experience. Blacks is located in Cross, SC on Blacks Camp road, a long country road that leads right to the middle of Santee Cooper Country, a fishing and hunting paradise. We can’t promise cell phone reception - but we can promise a good time. Located in Historic Berkley County, www.berkeleysc.org  Blacks is 45 minutes from Charleston and 1  1/2 hours from Myrtle Beach, SC.

     Blacks Camp is truly a fisherman’s headquarters on the Santee Cooper Lakes. We will gladly be your hosts and try our best to provide everything you need during your stay. Bring your own boat, hire a fishing guide, or both. Hunt the surrounding wildlife management public land, hire one of our guides to hunt our private land, or both.    Do you like to go boating? Let us be your marine chauffeur. We will start at Blacks Camp, enter the Diversion Canal, cross over huge Lake Moultrie and then to the Santee Cooper Lock. Once inside the lock, we will be dropped down 75 feet into the Tail Race Canal and proceed to the beautiful and historical Cooper River. Next we will voyage to brackish and finally the salt water of the Charleston Harbor. If you would like, you can spend the night and enjoy the sights, sounds and lowcountry cuisine of charming and historical Downtown Charleston. We will pick you up the next day and proceed back to Blacks Camp.

   Already in Charleston? Let us pick you up and do the trip vice versa.
